BIBF launches Corporate Governance Programme
Manama: BIBF has announced the launch of a two-day masterclass on Corporate Governance with a special focus on Strategy and Risk Management to benefit board of directors and senior management in the financial services sector.
The programme is designed based on the Central Bank of Bahrain’s (CBB) recommendations on up skilling newly inducted Board members and updating current Board members on Strategy, Risk management and Governance.
“This programme will greatly benefit executive management in “controlled functions” to support their individual competencies and remain competent in their roles, fulfilling part of their annual training needs,” said BIBF’s Head of Banking, Deen Jayah.
“The fulfilment of the requirement will be reviewed during the CBB’s supervisory visits to ensure that executive management staff are competent and remain competent for their roles.”
The masterclass is scheduled to take place on April 24 and 25 and will be led by Seamus Gillen – a leading board advisor.
