JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL –KANZABURO

Twenty years of intimate coverage and prolific film footage reveal the essence of Kanzaburo Nakamura. His dedication to the traditional Japanese art form of kabuki is a legacy to future generations apart from his determination to push the boundaries of innovation through collaborations with modern playwrights to capture the hearts of young audiences. Over 7,000 hours of footage document his life, both on stage as a kabuki actor and in the privacy of his home.

An imaginative art exhibition by Bahraini artist Ebrahim BuSaad containing works drawn over a period of 3 years that explore the basic themes of infidelity and betrayal, all of which are inspired by the famously fickle nature of cats as well as the artist’s own memories of growing up in the close-knit community and unique architecture of Old Muharraq.
