Bahrain keen on providing quality education, says PM

Manama: Stressing the role of education in building civilisations, Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has reiterated the government’s support to the sector through a comprehensive strategy and the great importance given by Bahrain to education.

According to the Prime Minister, the government’s keenness to meet the requirements of quality education has turned Bahrain into an educational hub in the region. HRH the Premier also underscored the importance of education as the foundation stone of development.

Prince Khalifa was speaking in a meeting with Board of Directors of Ahlia University, its Chairman Farooq Yussef Al-Moayed and founding President Dr. Abdullah Yussef Al Hawaj at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. The university officials thanked HRH Premier for laying the cornerstone of the university’s new campus premises in the Northern City recently.

HRH the Prime Minister congratulated Ahlia University Staff on the inauguration of the campus and the high quality education indices achieved by the university.

Dr. Al Hawaj also thanked Prince Khalifa for his continuous support to the educational sector in Bahrain. “The new campus has served as a stimulus to continue the efforts of providing educational services that meet the aspirations of the leadership to build a knowledge-based community,” he added.
