Bahraini jailed for extra marital affair
Manama: A Bahraini man was sentenced to one year behind bars for having sex with an Arab woman. The latter was also handed down an equal jail term and she was ordered to be deported after she finishes her jail sentence.
The case was reported by the Bahraini man’s wife, who suspected that he was having extramarital affairs. She, also of Arab origin, started tracking him and found that he was visiting an apartment in Juffair regularly. She saw him entering the apartment with a girl, and thus she informed police officers, who arrested both of them. The pair is said to have been having a sexual affair. They were sentenced on grounds of adultery.
