Tribute for Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak

Manama: Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women Chairwoman HRH Princess  Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa praised the pioneering work of President of the UAE General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak.

Speaking during an event  marking the launch of the first edition of the Mother of the Nation Festival, HRH Princess Sabeeka paid tribute to Shaikha Fatima for her leading national and Arab role in the field of institutional women’s work. She also praised Shaikha Fatima’s dedicated efforts to bring about many achievements to the Emirati woman and boost the status of Arab women at all levels.

She pointed out the UAE policy of providing just and equal opportunities for the Emirati women who proved their worth and capability to bring about numerous achievements.

HRH Princess Sabeeka underlined the rich record of achievements of the Emirati women, which contributed to social progress and unity, thanks to the tremendous achievements of the “Mother of the Nation” who has shown keenness to combine the Emirati inherent customs and traditions with balanced modernity and its homogeneity with the social specificity.

The Mother of the Nation Festival is organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority to shed light on the vision of the “mother of the nation” Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak of strengthening family cohesion, boosting cultural diversity and fostering tolerance in the Emirati community.
