Loads of entertainment await kids at Bahrain Grand Prix

Manama: Loads of fun activities and entertainment are awaiting children at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) during the upcoming 2016 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. A special section solely for kids has been allocated by BIC at the Formula 1 Village throughout the Grand Prix spectacle.

The highly anticipated race weekend will take Sakhir by storm from April 1 to 3. It will be the second round of a record 21-race calendar that makes up the 2016 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

In signature BIC fashion, the line-up of off-track activities at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, especially for children, will keep them amused throughout the three-day motoring
spectacle.

These include a selection of enjoyable workshops; interaction with a world-renowned bubble artist and roaming performers; memorable activities with a giant puppeteer and a challenging maze; a pair of drumming monkeys and so much more.

The workshops cover four exciting areas. There is a balloon workshop where kids will learn how to twist and turn three-foot balloons to make a replica of insects, animals and everything in between. There is also a bubbles workshop, where kids will be preparing and creating different sizes of bubbles with help from a professional bubble master from the US.

At the circus workshop, all kinds of skills can be learned such as spinning plates, juggling, balancing and uni-cycling; while in the magic workshop, kids can pick up fantastic tricks from Maestro Gary and Maestro Ricky, who have more than 15 years’ experience. The magic workshop has been in many international events, including at the UEFA Cup Final. Meanwhile, Aramis Gehberger, more popularly known as Dr Bubbles, is also set to be at the F1 Village. Dr Bubbles is one of the most successful bubble artists from Austria, having performed all over the world including some of the biggest festivals in Europe. His charming and entertaining character keeps the audience in
awe.

The Amazing Drumming Monkeys Show has entertained thousands of children at international events, and they will be adding the Bahrain Grand Prix to that list. Hailing from Adelaide, South Australia, these two adorable monkey puppets, Bongo and Congo, play African drums and lead audiences in song and dances, while performing tricks and special effects.
