Prince Salman stresses on Bahrain-UK trade and services ties

Manama : Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed that Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing trade relations with international partners was a key pillar of the Kingdom’s sustainable development efforts. “It prioritises citizens’ living standards and opportunities for all,” HRH Crown Prince said.

Prince Salman was speaking in a meeting with the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Jeffrey Mountevans, at Riffa Palace here yesterday.

Commenting on the historic and strong bilateral trade relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, HRH Crown Prince remarked that the relations were built upon the foundations of increasing prosperity and widening horizons of opportunities for the citizens of both countries.

Speaking about the existing strategic links with the UK that go back over two centuries, Prince Salman emphasised Bahrain’s interest in further strengthening collaboration across the energy, logistics, and tourism sectors.

HRH Crown Prince added that Bahrain possesses advanced finance and banking regulations, and that its strategic location in the thriving core of the Middle East market presents significant potential for future financial sector-related collaboration.

During the meeting, Prince Salman welcomed the Lord Mayor to Bahrain, and emphasised that Bahrain and the UK will continue to build on their deep-rooted ties to foster investment opportunities that benefit both nations.
