Community members celebrate Pakistan Day

Manama: Hundreds of Pakistani community members attended the flag hoisting ceremony held on the Pakistan Club premises on yesterday, marking the 76th anniversary of Pakistan Day.

The flag hoisting was performed by Mahmood Rafique Chaudhry, the Chairman of the board of Directors of the Pakistan Club. Ambassador of Pakistan to Bahrain Javed Malik, Deputy Head of Mission Ahad Malik, CWA Maqsud Qadir Shah and member of the BCCI Executive Board and Chairman Bahrain Asian Traders Committee (BATC) at BCCI Sajid Sheikh were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Javed Malik commended the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain. He assured the community that during his tenure, he would try his level best to take the existing ties to a new level of excellence.

“Pakistani investors, professionals and workers in Bahrain are significantly contributing to the economic development here, both in public and private sectors,” Malik remarked.

Congratulating the community, Sajid Sheikh reiterated to remain steadfast in working with the Pakistan embassy. He also stressed to work with the Government of Bahrain for the development of the Kingdom.
