2016 Olympic Day works in full swing

Manama: Preparations for the 2016 Olympic Day, which is due to take place on June 23, are in full swing with the organising committee stepping up its arrangements to ensuring a memorable event this year.

The Olympic Day is organised by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) as the whole world celebrates this special occasion by organising a group of sporting and entertaining activities, in an attempt to promote the principles of the Olympic values.

A committee, headed by BOC Strategic Planning Director Hasan Abdullatif, chaired the first meeting to discuss a number of programmes, which will be featured during this three-day event.

The committee includes representatives of the BOC – Lounes Madene (race chairman), Hamad Al Baker (federations chairman), Hasan Ali (media), Mamoon Al Khatib (Secretary and Follow-up), Fadi Humaidan (Side Activities), Mohammed Al Modaweb (Public Relations), Sima Al Kharraz (Marketing) and Rashid Abdulla (Services).
