Gulf Air poised for 2016 Bahrain Grand Prix

Manama: Seven days away from the upcoming 2016 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier and title sponsor of the event, is counting down to the most highly anticipated motor sporting and entertainment event of the year.

“Now in its 12th year, the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix is one of the strongest events to propel Bahrain onto the international stage,” Gulf Air A/Chief Executive Officer Maher Salman Al Musallam said. “This race has become a favourite among motorsport fans around the world, and Gulf Air is proud to bring in visitors to Bahrain to attend the race and enjoy the array of attractions and tourist activities on offer alongside it.”

The 2016 Bahrain Grand Prix will take place on April 1, 2 and 3  at the Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir (the only desert Formula One track amongst the 21 races worldwide), which will host its third night race this year. The event boasts an entertainment lineup that includes Grammy-nominated artist and producer DJ Avicii, DJs Axwell & Ingrosso and reggae musician Jimmy Cliff, in addition to a variety of family oriented entertainment throughout each day.
