New-generation Audi A4 debuts in Bahrain

Manama: Audi Bahrain has unveiled its newest arrival at a launch event attended by customers and members of the press at its showroom in Sitra. The new-generation Audi A4 is a fascinating synthesis of technology and aesthetics.

All the technology in the brand’s bestselling family has been redeveloped, setting even higher benchmarks for its class. Elegant design blends with an innovative control concept, and lightweight construction meets new, efficient drivetrain solutions. The all-new A4 is also ahead of its peers in terms of infotainment and assistance systems, awarded a top safety score of 5 stars by the European consortium Euro NCAP. It is available now at  the Audi Centre Bahrain showroom.

Recently crowned best midsize car of 2016 in a poll of 115,239 readers of the German magazine “auto motor und sport”, the Audi A4 boasts an even more comprehensive list of standard equipment than its predecessor. It includes xenon headlights, keyless go, a Bluetooth interface, Audi drive select and a 7-inch MMI colour display. In addition, the luxury sedan has the best drag coefficient in its class at 0.23 and impressively low CO2 emissions.

A new generation of four-cylinder TFSI engines with newly developed combustion methods sets benchmarks in terms of fuel consumption, emissions and performance for four-cylinder gasoline engines. Their power output has increased significantly and ranges from 150 hp to 252 hp, but fuel consumption has been reduced by up to 21 per cent. Three different TFSI models are on offer in the Middle East: 35 TFSI with 150 hp (1.4 engine), 40 TFSI with 190 hp (2.0 engine) and the top of the range engine 45 TFSI with 252 hp (2.0 engine).

Driver assistance systems and infotainment are of luxury quality in the all-new Audi A4 which is among the safest cars in its field of competitors. The European consortium Euro NCAP has awarded it the top score of five stars for adult and child safety as well as for pedestrian protection.

It also gave the model the “Euro NCAP advanced” special award for its standard-fit multicollision brake assist system and for the Audi pre sense basic system. Multicollision brake assist automatically brakes the Audi in the event of an accident, thus reducing the danger of skidding as well as the risk of further collisions. Audi pre sense basic tightens the seat belt in hazardous situations leading up to a collision, and closes the windows and sunroof.

At 4.73 meters long and with a wheelbase of 2.82 meters – the new Audi A4 has a confident stance on the road. A prominent horizontal line on the front and rear emphasizes the car’s width. The flowing design with concise lines communicates the sporty elegance of the brand. The Singleframe grille is wide and low; the optionally available headlights in LED and Matrix LED technology (including dynamic turn indicators) make technology a visual trademark.
