No Doubt, Harash shine in dead heat
Manama : Favourite No Doubt, owned by H and R Stables, trained by Allan Smith and ridden by Brett Doyle, and second favourite Harash, owned by Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, trained by James Naylor and ridden by Abdulla Faisal, battled it out for a thrilling ‘dead heat’ in the seventh and final race yesterday for the National Guard Cup for locally bred three years and upwards over 1,600 metres and worth BD3,000 in the 21st meeting of the season at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Sakhir.
A further five lengths behind in third was the third favourite Rising Sun owned by Al Nasseriyeh, trained by Allan Smith and ridden by Tristan Normand, with fourth place going to Lazaal owned by Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, trained by James Naylor and ridden by Hassan Al Saffar.
