Ghazwan wins Grand Prix in end of season Showjumping
Manama : Sami Ghazwan (47.33 seconds, four faults) riding Fairouz over hurdles of 125-135 cm and a course speed of 350 metres per minute won the Grand Prize title in the End of Season Showjumping Championship held on Friday at the Bahrain Defence Force Equestrian Centre in Sakhir.
Hussain Dadallah (49.85, 4 faults) came in second and Isa Ali (46.49, 8 faults) third.
The event was held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), the First Season-Ending Showjumping Championship in cooperation with Dilmunia.
In junior action, class one over 85-95 hurdles was won by Mayoof Al Rumaihi (35.79) and class two over 95-100 cm went to Ahmed Al Hashil (52.80).
In the two adults classes, the first round included hurdles height of 95-105 cm with Ali Isa (40.95) coming in first riding Manu and in the second over two phases and over 110-120 cm with Isa (27.78) completing a double.
