GARMCO receives top IFTDO honour

Manama : GARMCO, the Bahrain-based international aluminium rolling mill and one of the largest downstream aluminium facilities in the Middle East, received the Best Human Resources Development Practice Award during the 45th IFTDO World Conference organized by Bahrain Society for Training & Development (BSTD), in cooperation with the International Federation of Training and Development Organisations (IFTDO). 

The award, in recognition of the company’s approach to Human Resources Development, was delivered during the 45th IFTDO World Conference opening ceremony on March 21, held under the patronage of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Bahrain. 

Chairman of GARMCO Mahmood Al Soufi said, “We are delighted to have received this award that recognises GARMCO’s proactive initiatives that illustrate the successful implementation of the Company’s strategy to continuously invest in human capital development.”

Jean-Baptiste Lucas, CEO of GARMCO, commented, “We are proud to have received this award recognizing the company’s effort in embracing change and the development of human capital. 

The award is the embodiment of all the efforts that went into developing the “Handshake Initiative”, a strategic initiative focused on applying best practices in Human Resource Management offered to encourage change, develop skills and encourage leadership in the work environment” added Lucas.
