Bahrain court reject appeal of expats in robbery case
Manama : A court has rejected the appeals of four Pakistani men implicated in robbing BD100,000.
They robbed an exchange company-owned bag containing currency notes worth BD100,000.
Among the four, three defendants were earlier sentenced to three years in prison.
Meanwhile, the fourth man was handed down only one year behind the bars.
The defendants reportedly stole the bag from a minibus when it stopped in Ras Ruman in front of a branch of the exchange company in order to collect the profits.
They fled in a vehicle, but were later captured. According to the court documents, two of them were nabbed while they were at the Bahrain International Airport trying to leave the Kingdom.
The defendants have been ordered to be deported once they complete their prison sentences.
