Islamic scholar to visit Bahrain

Manama : Islamic scholar and religious orator MM Akbar is scheduled to have a short visit to Bahrain starting from today to April 2.  

Akbar, an expert in comparative studies of different religions based upon their authentic books, has proved his dexterity in tens of hundreds of open dialogues between celebrated scholars of different religions in and out of India.  

Akbar has been serving as a Director of ‘Niche of Truth’ in Kerala.  The Kochi-based Islamic missionary organisation, enables people of different faiths to understand Islam.   

He has conducted tens of hundreds of open dialogues with scholars of other religions in India, UK, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. 

A graduate in Physics, Akbar is especially distinguished for his scientific and logical approach in analysing and presenting religion. He has authored 38 books of which 20 are in comparative religion. He is also the head of Peace Educational Foundation under which 14 schools including one in Saudi Arabia are in operation. He is also the Chief Editor of Sneha Samvadam magazine, which mainly deals with articles on comparative studies of different religions, Islam and Science.

Akbar will take part in a variety of Islamic programmes, which are organised by Islamic Society Centre for Da’awa – Riffa such as public presentation with question-answer session, premarital session for youths, Teens’ meet, and Da’awa Training Workshop during his stay in Bahrain.
