Tamkeen hosts ‘Community Partnership’ event

Manama : As part of its Community Engagement initiative, Tamkeen has organised a “Community Partnership” event, where it reviewed gains of its partnership with local community organisations and briefed them on its strategy for the next stage.

The event was attended by representatives of a group of local organisations from the Kingdom’s various governorates.

Tamkeen launched the initiative in 2013, seeking to consolidate relations between all segments of Bahrain’s society and raise awareness about Tamkeen’s services and programmes, granting citizens easy access to these opportunities and empowering them to achieve prosperity and contribute to the national economy.

On this occasion, Tamkeen Chief Operating Officer Amal Al Kooheji expressed gratitude for the great efforts exerted by local community organisations, particularly their role in advancing professional, training and living standards in local communities.

Al Kooheji said, “Through this important initiative, we hope to build a direct and solid relation with all local community organisations. This would help us directly communicate with these NGOs, respond to their special needs, enhance our services through various support programmes, promote awareness about them, and encourage everyone to take advantage of them.”

Al Kooheji commended Tamkeen’s representatives, saying, “The representatives work as a link between Tamkeen and their areas, to answer general queries and update residents on Tamkeen’s latest developments and programmes. They also make the necessary arrangements to hold Tamkeen’s activities in their  local areas.”

The success of the Community Engagement initiative would not have been possible without local community organisations’ contributions. The Community Partnership event allows Tamkeen to introduce its local representatives, review its partnership gains with the society, present its community engagement strategy for the next stage and advance to achieve community partnership.
