Bahrain's Ali Isa wins Showjumping Championship

Manama : Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), the Second Season-Ending Showjumping Championship was held at the grounds of the Military Sports Federation in Al Raffa, Sakhir, in cooperation with Horse Pride Equestrian Equipment.

Ali Isa (51.83 seconds) riding Alikaro won the Grand Prix class over hurdles of 130-140 cm and a course speed of 350metres per minute. Second place went to Basel Al Dossary (46.50, 4 faults) and Abbas Yousif (46.96, 4 faults) was third.  The championship began with two classes for junior riders, with the first over 85-95 cm won by Mayoof Al Rumaihi (30.97) and the second over 100-110 cm and two phases claimed by Amy Keane (27.63).

In the other two classes for adults, Ali Isa (25.78) riding Manu over 100-110 cm in two phases was the winner in the first and the second was won by Ahmed Mansoor (43.83) riding Sabha over hurdles of 115-125cm.

A cowboy show was also presented during the show and Horse Pride Equestrian Equipment CEO Huda Janahi honoured the winners, referees and the participants in the championship.
