YouTube project to showcase Bahraini talent globally

Manama: A group of Bahraini youngsters hopes to showcase local musical talent to the world with their new YouTube project.

The youngsters, who are part of Shabaka TV Production, are all set to air their new YouTube show, which aims to promote Bahraini talent to the world. The show titled “Here, Me Sessions” will be launched tomorrow and will feature talented young Bahraini musicians every week.

“YouTube is changing from being just a video portal where people watch how-to guides or video bloggers or cat videos to also becoming a platform for budding musicians. ‘Here Me, Sessions’ hopes to become the new go-to YouTube show to watch. The show is dedicated to creating the most artistic style, high-quality live authentic acoustic performance videos available for you to enjoy,” a Shabaka TV Production spokesperson said.

“The first episode will feature local singer/songwriter Mo Zowayed, performing his original music and bringing some good folk/acoustic vibes. Upcoming musicians to look out for in ‘Here, Me Sessions’ videos are local Bahraini artistes such as Iba Mohsen, Ala Gawas and many more,” she said. “The concept of the new YouTube show was created for aspiring musicians and artistes to project themselves for the world to see their talent. What better way to showcase original music than YouTube! It is the perfect platform for young musicians to break out of their comfort-zone, improve their skills and promote their artistry.”

She said they believe in presenting artistes exactly as they perform and giving them the support that aspiring musicians deserve.

“We are dedicated to delivering brilliant HD quality authentic acoustic sessions from places all over Bahrain every week,” she added.
