Bahraini woman jailed for stealing boyfriend's bride's jewellery
Manama : The High Criminal Appeals Court has upheld the jail term issued against a young Bahraini woman, who stole the gold jewellery of a
bride on the latter’s wedding night.
The 26-year-old defendant is said to have entered the wedding hall, from where the gold set as well as the money from the handbags of the guests were stolen.
She was spotted by the bride’s relatives, who captured her and found the gold as well as BD147 in currency in her possession.
She told prosecutors that she was in relationship with the groom, and he invited her to the wedding.
