Button calls on McLaren to perfect strategy
Manama : Jenson Button hopes McLaren can push their way up the field by correcting their strategy mistakes for this weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix.
The Frome Flyer finished 14th and a lap shy of winner Nico Rosberg at the Australian Grand Prix, having qualified a place higher.
While Button felt they could have done better, he says it is all part of the process with a host of new rules enforced this year.
“We made a couple of misjudgements on the strategy side in Melbourne, but it’s all part of the learning curve with the new tyre compound rules,” he said.
