An Asian man had been arrested in his home country for trafficking women into Bahrain. Bhola Dahal, a Nepalese man, had been reportedly arrested by the Nepalese authorities for trafficking women to Bahrain and the USA.

"Central Investigation Bureau arrested Bhola Dahal, who cheated several people after promising attractive jobs in the US and Bahrain,” Nepalese newspaper Ekantipur reported.

"The Kathmandu District Court had fined him Rs 485,000 (BD 1,782.32) and sentenced to six months in prison six years ago for similar crimes. 34-year-old Dahal, a permanent resident of Dharan Municipality-15, Sunsari, was arrested from Dhapakhel, Lalitpur,” the report added.

Dahal was captured after Nepalese Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) conducted an extensive investigation, which lead to multiple arrests. Many other men were also arrested for trafficking women to the Gulf countries as well as African countries, Nepalese media reported.

"The members of the gang trafficked the women to African countries like Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Malaysia and the Gulf countries after promising that they would employ them in jobs with attractive salary and facilities at dance bars in those countries. The members of the gang of women traffickers have been arrested following the 'Operation Eagle', which the Bureau had been conducting since last year,” the report revealed.

“All the arrested have been sent to jail after convicting them of human trafficking and organised crime. Police stated that they took photos of the women projecting them as models and trafficked them using various electronic media," the report added.
