Crown Prince meets US Congressmen
Manama : Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa discussed a range of issues relating to regional developments with a delegation of members of the United States Congress at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) yesterday.
Speaking about the long-standing strategic relations between the US and Bahrain, the Crown Prince highlighted that the ongoing commitment of both the nations in bolstering cooperation underpins all efforts aimed at preserving regional security.
The Crown Prince and the Congressmen discussed the rise of violent extremism and its undermining effect on regional development efforts. In this regard, Prince Salman emphasised the importance of aligning regional and international efforts to combat all forms of terrorism and eliminate radical ideologies.
The meeting also covered ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in order to achieve shared goals, including providing strategic support to all efforts in pursuit of lasting stability in the region.
