Students launch inspirational music video ‘Oh Divine’

ManamaA group of students recently busted the stereotyped image that the “new generation” is only into pop music and fast tracks, by launching an inspirational prayer song.

Bahrain-based NMS students released a melodious song -- “Oh Divine” -- on the occasion of Easter. The song is directed by Benonin Johnson and sung by Simran Bhalla and Rufus Roby.

The video was launched on YouTube on Benonin Johnson channel. The song’s soothing music and positive lyrics, penned by Maria Manackal and Uma Rajendran, have already made it instant hit among student community, who have shared it on WhatsApp and Facebook groups.

Other students cast in the video are Sandeep Krishnan, Samyukkthaa Gopinath and Imad Hussain.

Benonin is preparing to release a few more songs by next year, which would help the group reach out to more people.

Simran Bhalla, a lead vocalist, said, “This is an inspirational song and I am overwhelmed by the response we got from my parents, teachers, family and friends. This was a great experience but I have a lot to learn.”

The album was recorded at Dreams Digital Media studio and produced by Johnson Justin. The theme of the song stresses that belief in God brings positive changes in our lives.

Benonin said, “A song becomes better when it has powerful lyrics and I’m really happy to compose this song. I thank my parents for supporting me and our wonderful vocalists Simran Bhalla and Rufus Roby. You can achieve anything in the world if you believe in the Almighty.”
