Man jailed for placing hoax bomb
Manama: The High Criminal Court has sentenced a Bahraini man to seven years behind the bars for placing a hoax bomb.
The defendant reportedly planted the fake device near the coast guard premises in Muharraq in 2015.
He committed the crime along with two other men, whose identities remain unknown. The device placed was a cylinder, which had wires and a plastic pipe. They intended to cause panic and spread fears among the residents, according to the complaint registered by the Public Prosecution.
