Indian student dies of illness in Bahrain

Manama : Indian student Amala Reji (15) died of illness yesterday.

She was studying in grade 9 at the Indian School Bahrain (ISB).

She was given primary medical treatment at a private hospital in East Riffa.

However as her condition deteriorated she was admitted at the BDF Hospital where she succumbed to her illness. 

She was in the ventilator suffering from heavy brain and lungs bleeding.  The death comes at a time when she was promoted to grade 10 and classes were to begin tomorrow.

Amala is the daughter of Rejimon George  and Jessy George who hails from Kattappana in Idukki district of the Indian State of Kerala.

Amala’s brother Christeen is studying in grade 12 at ISB.

Mr George has been in Bahrain for the last eight years and is working as an Engineer in Ahmed Mansoor Al A'ali Company. 

They are members of the Sacred Heart Church in Awali.

The dead body is being kept at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC)morgue.
