HRH Premier expresses desire to fulfill citizens' needs

Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has expressed the government's constant keenness to ensure that the umbrella of comprehensive development covers the entire kingdom's cities and villages. 

"Therefore, we spare no effort to follow-up closely on the citizens' service needs across the kingdom so as to include them in the government's plans and programmes," he explained, stressing the government's unwavering resolve to bring about more landmark achievements to Bahrainis.

"Achieving the best for the citizens is the ultimate goal which we will make tireless efforts to achieve," he said as he received here today scores of citizens, led by clerics, intellectuals, media persons and businessmen.

HRH the Prime Minister praised the "pivotal and crucial" role played by the private sector, describing it as a "strategic and effective partner in the economic system and development process". 

In this regard, he affirmed the key role played by family companies in the kingdom's trade sector, being among the important "engines" of economic growth, urging members of those families to follow in the steps of their fathers and grandfathers and support the nation and its economy. 

He expressed confidence in the ability of Bahrainis to continue adopting initiatives that strengthen the economy and support the government's development efforts. 

In another context, HRH Premier praised the key role played by private universities in enhancing the educational process in the kingdom, affirming continuous government efforts to upgrade education in the kingdom and encourage investment in private education, as part of its keenness to improve the output of the educational process.

He said that the government had allocated special interest in education since a long time ago out of its belief that investment in human resources was the best way to achieve progress and civilisation of which nations are proud. 

He underlined the government's continuous efforts to create a stimulating environment for investment in education through an integrated system of regulatory legislation to ensure quality education that meets world standards, which, he said, has consolidated the private education's contributions.

The audience lauded HRH Premier's sound approach of keeping channels of communication with the citizens open, noting that the Premier's Majlis is an open platform in which local issues are discussed.

They said that HRH Premier always welcomes the citizens' remarks whole-heartedly.
