Al Doy win Taekwondo Championship
Manama : Al Doy Olympic Centre topped the First National Brotherhood Taekwondo Championships, which concluded recently with 152 martial arts athletes from 11 Taekwondo- specialized centres and academies taking part.
The championships featured different age categories, as Al Doy Olympic Centre dominated competition in the boys junior and youth sections, while Emperor Academy won first place in the girls junior and youth.
Al Amiri Academy were runners-up in the girls event, Ace School came second in the boys youth and third in the girls juniors, while Bahrain Taekwondo School finished third in the junior section.
Other schools in the fray were Al Nosoor School, Bahrain for Taekwondo Academy, US Martial Arts Academy, Riffa School, Ouni School and Model School.
The championships were supervised by national coach and international umpire Abdulla Isa Al Doy, who developed the competition rules and regulations.
