Man jailed for posting wife’s private images online
Manama : The High Criminal Court has sentenced the husband of a Bahraini artist to one year behind bars
for posting private images of her as well as insulting her online. He, however, was granted bail for BD100, pending the outcome of his appeal.
The defendant, aged 29, was sued by his 35-year-old wife after a four-year-long marriage that resulted in the birth of a girl. She alleged in her complaint that differences surfaced in their relationship after she found that he was in relationship with another woman.
“He threatened that he would expose me by posting my images, claiming that I was having a relationship with a Saudi artist,” the woman told prosecutors.
