Shaikh Isa Award for candidate list updated
Manama: The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), organisers of this year’s Third Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work, continues to receive an updated list of candidate honorees ahead of the awarding ceremony on May 4.
This award is dedicated to sports officials with prominent overseas posts and is approaching completion with the formation of a purpose-formed committee to preparatory committee for the event.
Headed by Bahrain Olympic Committee General Secretary Abdulrahman Askar, it includes deputy head Fajer Jassim, members Sameer Abdulqader, Hassan Ali, Noaf Al Qahtani, Mohammed Bashara, Mohammed Sanad and Hassan Juma.
The first edition of the award took place in 2012 and was a tribute to long-serving staff and sport reporters and administrators who had worked at least 25 years at different sport federations who were honoured.
