Alpha Fire Safety defeat LuLu Lions by 66 runs

Manama: Alpha Fire Safety defeated LuLu Lions by 66 runs in a high-scoring match in the Sprite sponsored BCL-CBA Division Premier League 25 Overs Tournament at the Busaiteen Grounds in Muharraq.

Batting first, Alpha Fire Safety scored a massive 270 for five in 25 overs helped by a brilliant 154-run partnership by Akmal (76) and Fayaz (66) and supported by Sameer (51) with Sajeth (two for 32) the best of the bowlers.

In reply, LuLu Lions were dismissed for 204 with the main scorers being Anoop (47) and Pradeep (27) with Ansar (two for 34) returning the best figures.

In another match, Combine CC beat Pak Lions by 60 runs after making 151 for nine in 25 overs with the main scorers being Abdullah (39) and Zaman (34), while Umair (three for 20) and Zia (three for 34) returned the best bowling figures.

In reply, Pak Lions were bowled out for 91 with the only resistance coming from Umair (27) with Waseeq (five for 11) the pick of the bowlers.
