Arab meetings a necessity, says Premier

ManamaPrime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stressed that economy and politics should go hand in hand, explaining that a robust economy creates strong politics that can influence the global decision-making process.

HRH Premier made the statement as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday Arab finance ministers and governors of Arab central banks, who are participating in the annual joint meeting of the Arab Financial Institutions, currently hosted by the Kingdom under the Primer’s patronage.

The Premier pointed out that some parties have focused their attention on the Arab World and are awaiting eagerly for any mishaps that may pose a threat to Arab security and economy.

Therefore, Arab decision-makers have to agree on unified stances that fulfil the aspirations of the Arab Nations and impress those awaiting for setbacks, HRH Prince Khalifa said.

The Prime Minister stressed that meetings between Arab senior officials have become a matter of necessity amid the current situation the Arab Nation is going through and the global economic situation caused by the fall in oil prices.
