Two expats jailed for robbery in Bahrain
Manama : Two Pakistani men, aged 22 and 27, have been slapped with five years behind bars each on grounds of robbery.
The duo had been nabbed for robbing BD400 as well as three mobile phones from a man in Muharraq. They attacked the man before stealing his belongings on September 26, 2015.
“They held me from behind and tied me up by a piece of cloth. They dropped me down on the ground, and stole my wallet which contained BD400 and three mobile phones,” the victim told prosecutors. The accused were held guilty of robbery and assault.
The defendants will be expelled from Bahrain when they finish their jail sentences.
