KHCB CEO among top four performers in Middle East

Manama : Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of Bahrain’s leading Islamic retail banks announced its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) was named as one of the best four performing and top CEOs in the GCC at the Top CEO red carpet awards ceremony held recently at Westin Dubai Mina Seyadhi.

Khalil Al Meer was ranked fourth in GCC & the first in Bahrain amongst 100 CEOs as per the Trends Magazine and Insead Business School after a thorough review on the performance of the companies as well as the financial institutions that are eligible for the awards.

This comes in lieu with the successful financial results announced by KHCB in the past year. He has been instrumental in the highly successful growth of the bank.

“The evaluation process and the recognition reflects the successful execution of the bank’s new strategy through which, we achieved a net profit of BD 8 million compared to BD 3.8 m in 2014, with increase of 118 per cent,” he added.

The Top CEO is a red carpet awards ceremony that celebrates the achievements of the top CEOs in the GCC. 

The awards were based on the companies’ financials, reporting, corporate governance and transparency.
