Bahrain political societies receive BD174,000 financial support
Manama : The Office of Political Societies Affairs in the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, confirmed that fourteen political societies in the Kingdom of Bahrain had received a total amount of BD174,000 in financial assistance from the State over last year (2015).
According to amendments on the Political Societies Law in implementation of National Consensus Dialogue views and recommendations, and as per Clause 15 of the same law, each political society is obliged to furnish the Minister of Justice with a copy of its budget and final account in the first quarter every year and publicize its budget and final account in the Official Gazette, provided that the national Financial Audit Bureau (FAB) carries out an audit of the society's account books, documents, income, expenditure and other financial matters to verify the soundness of the society's resources and validity of its expenditures.
