Bahrain leaders call for global anti-extremism cooperation

ManamaPrime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasised the need to step up cooperation among countries to address the issue of ideological and religious extremism, during a discussion at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.

The two leaders also discussed the latest regional and international developments. They stressed the importance of the meetings of Islamic countries’ leaders in order to unify stances on ways to face the economic and security challenges in the region, particularly terrorism which, they said, have become a serious threat to humanity.

The Prime Minister and the Crown Prince reiterated the Kingdom’s support to all international efforts aimed at achieving peace and security worldwide.

Reviewing a number of regional and global events hosted by the Kingdom recently, they highlighted the importance of such international meetings in crystallising policies that enhance the ability to deal with all security and economic developments.
