Indian expat dies of heart attack in Bahrain

Manama: Indian expatriate  Roy Varughese (57) passed away due to heart attack yesterday at King Hamad University Hospital.

Living in Bahrain for the past 35 years, he was working in Rauf Contracting Company here.

Roy is survived by his wife Valsamma who is in India and son Robin Joseph Roy, who works in Middle East Medical centre in Bahrain.

 Oversees Indian Cultural Congress(OICC) Global committee General Secretary Raju Kallumpuram said the dead body will be repatriated to his home town in the Pathanamthitta district of the Indian state of Kerala tomorrow by Gulf Air once the paper works are completed.

The Indian Embassy officials have facilitated the process of repatriation  in spite of being a holiday today for the Indian Embassy due to Dr BR Ambedkar Jayanti.
