St. Christopher’s School is hosting the 2nd Annual Bahrain Google Summit , featuring Google Apps for Education, on 16th April 2016. Over the high- intensity event that focuses on deploying, integrating and using Google Apps for Education ( and other Google tools) to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education, the delegates will be engaged by innovative keynote seminars, practical ‘get going & ‘deep-dive’ workshops led by certified Google Innovative Educators, Google Trainers and world-renowned presenters.
THEATRE FUN FOR JUNIORS
Time: 3pm to 5.30pm
Venue: The British Club- Windsor Room
The British Club drama section, will hold their regular monthly theatre workshop for children and teenagers aged 7 to 14 years on April 16 at the Windsor Room. Each workshop is stand alone and includes a performance, encouraging children to be creative and confident, as well as have fun seeing ideas come to life. The two-and-a –half-hour workshop will look at a different aspect of theatre and will end with a 15-minute performance , which begins at 5.15pm.
THE ART OF FENG SHUI WORKSHOP
Time : 10am to 12.30pm
Venue: Words Bookstore Café
Learn the art of Feng Shui with an introductory workshop, to be held at Words Bookstore Café on April 16, with Jools Bond and Tricia Hawkins. This workshop is suitable for those who are new to Feng Shui and would like to explore this life tool in more detail. The workshop will teach you how the world around you, including your home and workplace , reflects your inner world.
BAHRAIN ANNUAL HERITAGE FESTIVAL
Time : Ongoing till 21 April, 4pm to 9pm
Venue: Bahrain National Museum
Bahrain Heritage Festival has gained worldwide reputation since its launch in 1992. This year the Heritage Festival which is in its 24th edition is titled under “Rhythms of Bahrain”. The festival offers a chance to see some of Bahrain’s finest craftsmen at work- basket weaving, pottery, handicrafts etc. Visitors, locally and internationally, are dazzled every year with exhibits relating to Bahrain’s tradition and culture and the distinctiveness of Bahrain’s music and folk-dance, flavours of the kingdom.
AHMED ANNAN SOLO EXHIBITION
Time : On-going till 5 May, 10am to 10pm
Venue: Al Riwaq Art Space
The solo exhibition of Bahraini artist Ahmed Annan is on display at Al Riwaq Art Space till 5 May. In Annan’s work, he proves that we hide what is beautiful and show what is ugly, only to occasionally discover beauty in the ugliness and ugliness in the beauty. Concealing and revealing is not only a phenomenon but a process in every aspect of our life, behaviour, religion, trade, politics, culture and art.
