Spate of robberies rock Janabiyah
Manama : A group of burglars broke into and stole valuables from two cars parked in a residential area in Janabiyah before stealing a third car.
The car keys were left inside the third car and hence the burglars were able to drive away the vehicle.
The stolen car was a 2004-model Black Dodge Ram 1500 with the Bahraini registration number 97770.
According to the victim Aamer Mohammed, the culprits are known to be active in Janabiyah, Budaiya and Saar.
“I have heard that they tried to rob another car in my area. On the night before driving away with my car, they had smashed the windows of two cars in the area and stole from it. Only my car was taken because the key was still in the car. We only came to know about it in the morning,” he told DT News.
To make matters worse, they used the same car while going to rob a supermarket. CCTV footage showed three men coming out of the car to rob the store. The men were seen using baseball bats as weapons and threatened the storekeeper before taking the cash register, according to witnesses.
