BTEA holds first quarter board meet
Manama : Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) board of directors convened its first quarter meeting yesterday.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani.
Al Zayani acknowledged the continued support of the Kingdom’s leadership and government to the tourism and exhibitions industries to strengthen their contribution to the national economy.
The Executive Management presented the plans and programmes included in the Authority’s Strategic Plan for Years 2015 – 2018 and the roadmap to the Authority’s tourism agenda to attract 15.2 million visitors by 2018.
The Board was presented with the Authority’s operational performance for the Exhibition Centre, the audited Financial Statements for the Year ended December 31, 2015 and list of major exhibitions, conferences and events that were hosted last year.
Meanwhile, the Board also reviewed the Authority’s line up of initiatives, varied events calendar, including exhibitions, international conferences, and live events for the year.
