CIBAFI forum to host expert
Manama : Bahrain is set to host renowned guru of the Asset Management and Emerging Markets - Dr. Mark Mobius, Executive Chairman, Templeton Asset Management, with a Special Keynote address at the CIBAFI Global Forum.
The forum themed, “Rethinking values of sustainable growth” will be held on May 3 and 4 at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.
While Islamic finance industry over the years has seen a strong progress and higher acceptance in new markets, myriad opportunities remain untapped for Islamic Finance in the emerging markets.
Dr Mobius will speak on a number of relevant topics such as thoughts on how finance can contribute to sustainable growth of the economy, insights on how financial markets are expected to perform, expert views on MENA market and the impact of oil prices, potential growth markets in mid-to- long terms and lessons for Islamic finance.
The forum aims to explore strategies to achieve materiality of socially responsible business practices on financial performance, through optimising these ESG factors, and examine their development impacts on Islamic financial institutions.
