Expat dies of brain stroke in Bahrain

Manama: Indian expat Rahmathulla Khan (51) who was found unconscious in his accommodation recently, died of brain stroke in hospital yesterday.

He had returned to Bahrain January 14 after spending vacations at his hometown in Adoor, Pathanamthitta, in the south Indian state of Kerala.

He was working in a private firm in Bahrain as a driver for the nearly three years.

Mr Khan was admitted at the King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) after being found unconscious in his company accommodation.

He is survived by his wife Thanuja and children Reshma, Riyaz and Ramiz.

Bahrain social worker Kareem Kulamullathil told DT News that Mr Khan's body will be repatriated to his hometown tomorrow.
