Bahrain to host First Genuine Arabian Horse Auction this month
Manama : Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) announced the materialisation of its ‘first Genuine Arabian Horse Auction’ in Bahrain – an event that will be held at the BDF Equestrian Arena within the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club premises.
Over 40 purebred Arabian show horses, some imported from Europe, Australia, the USA and GCC, will be up for auction on April 29 after the Asr prayer (around noon).
Prices during the auction are expected to soar well over BD10,000 in some cases making it an exciting event to witness, and very unique in the Gulf.
“For buyers or admirers, it is an event not to be missed. Some of the horses in the auction have world-renowned pedigrees as well as national and international show records,” according to the organisers.
“All auctioned horses will be World Arabian Horse Organisation (WAHO) registered ones, making it a one-of-a-kind show. Also, three per cent of the profits from the auction will be donated to charity,” they informed in a statement.
The auction will be managed by Khalid Mubarak and Alaa Hammad, and the auctioneer, Rashed Al Hafeiti, is from the UAE, said a press release
issued here.
Interested buyers can pre-view the finalised list of horses up for auction on the website: www.equestrianbahrain.com or view the Bahrain Arabian Horse Committee Instagram account: @bahrainahc, the release added.
