Shaikh Khalid hails Fight Night

Manama: First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and founder of the KHK MMA organsation His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed the outstanding organisation of the FIGHT NIGHT (UFC on FOX 19), organised by the Ultimate Fighting Championship UFC, at the Amalie Arena in the US state of Florida.

Shaikh Khalid lauded the huge efforts of the UFC President Dana White in organising such a major MMA event.

He affirmed the huge number of spectators reflected the successful hosting of the event at all levels, and highlighted UFC’s leading position in the MMA field and added the Kingdom’s participation in this international event contributed in promoting Bahrain’s MMA development.

Shaikh Khalid expressed his admiration for the outstanding performance of Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main fight, which reflects his intensive preparations for the championship, in addition to the efforts of the technical and administrative staff.

He added this achievement would encourage the fighter to exert more efforts to be the top fighter in his class.

Nurmagomedov expressed his pleasure at winning the main fight in his weight class and thanked Shaikh Khalid and his team members for their support.
