Man jailed for stealing medicines from Bahrain hospital
Manama : The Lower Criminal Court has sentenced a man accused of robbing medicines from a public hospital to two years behind bars. The defendant is said to have stolen narcotic tablets from Ibn Sina hospital. The defendant is said to have snuck inside the pharmacy inside the hospital by using a screwdriver and stole several types of narcotic tablets.
He was spotted by a security man who was on duty in the property, and he pursued him.
The defendant was eventually caught by the security man when he hid under a bed. Prosecutors charged him with attempting to steal items owned by the Ministry of Health. He was also fined BD500.
