Capital Governorate to launch second edition of youth programme today
Manama : Under the patronage of Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the second edition of ‘Weekend Capital’s youth programme’ will be launched today.
The programme is being launched with the support and cooperation of Ahli United Bank and Rasruman Cultural Youth Centre which is part of Najma Club.
Capital Governorate’s Social Programmes and Community Affairs Manager Fatima Al Ghatam said the programme aims to ignite community’s participation through a fun, educational and athletic event, adding that it will build capabilities and positivity of the youth.
The first edition of the programme was held in 2014.
Al Ghatam indicated that the programme is intended to target the age group of 14 to 18 years. “They will participate in a number of recreational, sports and cultural competitions. Besides, there will be sessions in art theatre and discovering acting abilities,”Al Ghatam added.
The programme, which commences today, will go on till May 11.
