Bahrain approves allied medical professions
Manama : Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa issued Edict 24/2016 yesterday.
The edict approves the list of allied medical professions.
The edict stipulates that licensing to carry out any of the listed professions and its regulatory codes will be subject to Law Decree 2/1987. This is regarding the practice of allied medical professions by people other than physicians and pharmacists.
The Minister of Health and the President of the Supreme Council for Health – each in his capacity – shall implement the provisions of this edict which becomes effective from the day following the date of its publishing in the Official Gazette.
The edict covers 27 allied medical professions.
