Bahrain marks 41st Arab Week for Deaf
Manama : Bahrain celebrated the 41st edition to Arab Week for the Deaf. Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan inaugurated the ceremony at Bahrain and Kuwait Rehabilitation Centre in Isa Town.
The event was attended by Bahrain Deaf Society Chairman Aqeel Ali Hassan, guests and other officials.
Addressing the opening event, he stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development to take care of the hearing-impaired people.
He underlined Bahrain’s strides in delivering programmes and services in favour of such people.
He stressed particularly the packages of services, delivered through the Shikhan Al Farsi Centre For Total Communication to rehabilitate the hearing-impaired children and integrate them into public schools.
The Minister and the Bahrain Deaf Society Chairman Aqeel Ali Hassan honoured dedicated employees at the association along with sponsors and the participants in the sign language courses.
