Habitual thieves sentenced in Bahrain
Manama : Two men reportedly sold stolen phones to a mobile shop, only to return at night to rob the same shop, the Lower Criminal Court has heard.
The Bahraini duo has been sentenced to six months each behind bars for their crime.
According to court files, the men sold the phones to a Riffa-based shop after stealing them from another shop.
They, however, returned at night to the shop after it was closed. However, they couldn’t find them, and thus stole two new laptops worth BD540 and other devices.
The defendants were arrested after the owner of the shop identified them.
The first defendant denied robbing the shop during interrogation, but his co-defendant revealed that they had broken the door of the outlet after they decided to retrieve them.
