RED RIDING HOOD

Entertainment Plus presents a musical production of the classic fairy tale Red Riding Hood for the music and theatre lovers in Bahrain on 23 April at the Cultural Hall. Filled with humour and packed with music Red Riding Hood is about a brave little girl, Red, and her encounter with a big bad wolf in the forest. The show timings are 11am and 4pm on April 23, and 8.45am and 10.45am from April 24-26
NOVEL & WRITING ART IN THE NOVEL

Novels have certain rules and procedures which authors must abide by, while art lives in another creative realm that has its own set of guidelines. So how is art written about in novels? And how do we read art through their words? This is what this special lecture will explain, featuring four prominent and distinguished writers who are well qualified and experienced to speak on such a highly specialized topic. The panel will have Salah Fadl, Amani Fouad, Waciny Al Araj and Abdou Wazen.

ARABIC MANUSCRIPTS

Arabic manuscripts reflect the splendor of Arab civilization and its cultural achievements in the various fields of knowledge. The libraries of Bahrain, like those found in other Arab countries, contained prized collections of rare manuscripts. The displayed collection features some rare and exquisite illuminated manuscripts that are shown to the public for the first time to celebrate “Manuscript Day”.
